All RDC users are required to change their password every 90 days. If you cannot change the password using the standard Operating System method described at the bottom of the previous section, or it has expired and you can no longer login, you can change it using the following steps.

Note: you must be connected to the VPN before completing these steps.

  1. Open a web browser and navigate to https://10.148.27.55/selfserv

  2. Enter RDC username as the value for User Principal Name. The RDC username is typically in the format of first initial followed by last name, for example: jsmith

  3. Enter your current password

  4. Choose a new password that meets the following requirements:
    • Password must be at least 8 characters in length
    • Password must contain characters from at least three of the following groups:
    – Uppercase alphabetic characters
    – Lowercase alphabetic characters
    – Digits from 0-9
    – Non-alphanumeric characters (i.e. punctuation)
    • Password cannot be one of the last 8 passwords used
    • Password cannot contain your username
    • Your current password must be at least one day old

  5. Re-enter your new password

  6. Click Change Password
