1.3 Subscriptions

Maximo SaaS Flex customers can opt for an authorized or concurrent user subscription model. In this model IBM owns the software and it is provisioned to the customer as part of the Maximo SaaS Flex subscription for an agreed upon term period. Maximo SaaS Flex subscriptions apply to production (PROD) environments only. Staging Environments (TEST, DEV) are provisioned for non-production limited use and will support up to 30 concurrent users, unless a capacity add-on is ordered for the environment. Each capacity add-on will add resources (Cores, Memory, JVM) to support an additional 30 concurrent users.

A description of subscription options is provided below.

Authorized User

  • Standard full user subscription where the number of named / registered users is defined and limited

  • Each individual Maximo user is created in Maximo's security application

Concurrent User

  • Full user subscription that defines and limits the number of users who can access the system at the same time (simultaneously)

  • An unlimited number of named users can be created in Maximo's security application

  • Concurrent user subscription can be no less than 25 users

  • Concurrent usage is monitored. Customer may be subject to overage charges.

Self-Service User

  • There is no subscription cost for the service request application (a rough idea of the # of users is required for production sizing purposes)

  • Any number of users can register and use this application to submit self service work requests

Industry Solutions

  • Maximo Industry Solutions subscriptions are above & beyond the base user subscription, and are typically for a more limited amount of users. Access to Industry solutions for named users is controlled through Maximo's security application
