SFTP

SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) access can be requested for Maximo and TRIRIGA on Cloud Environments. SFTP can be used the following purposes:

  • To support file based integrations to & from external systems

  • Allow customers to view Application Server log files

  • To transfer of large files to and from SaaS environments (for example, files that cannot be sent as part of a case or as email attachments)

Notes & Limitations:

  • FTPS is not supported; this is an entirely different protocol from SFTP

  • Maximo Enhanced Access DEV environments do not have SFTP access. File transfers can be performed using the Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) 'Local Resources' tab. Alternately, customers can SFTP files to one of their NON-PROD or PROD (Linux) environments, then use WinSCP on their DEV server console to download file(s). It is recommended to submit a case to insure WinSCP is installed on your DEV server and the Windows firewall is configured for port 22222 to be open.
