Requesting an RDC account

If you have a Maximo SaaS Flex Enhanced Access DEV environment, an RDC account can be requested by submitting an access request in the Access Management Tool. If you cannot login to the Access Management Tool with your IBM ID, or do not have an IBM ID, follow the steps outlined here to request access.

Two things are required in order to obtain RDC access:

  • An OpenVPN Account

  • An RDC (Windows) Account

Both accounts will be created once your access request is approved. In addition to the accounts, you will receive information on how to install and configure OpenVPN on your workstation.

  • Customer will receive OpenVPN connection profile (OPVN file) from IBM along with installation instructions

  • Customer installs OpenVPN client software on their workstation and imports connection profile

Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection is included with all Microsoft client operating systems. It can be obtained for Apple (Mac) workstations through the Mac App store.
